Antibacterial Action: Fusidic acid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which is essential for bacterial growth and replication. It is particularly effective against Staphylococcus aureus, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
Localized Treatment: Since it is applied topically, it provides a high concentration of the antibiotic directly at the site of infection, reducing the risk of systemic side effects.
